Boost Your Resilience and Wellbeing Training
Session 1: Unveiling the Power Within: Education of the ANS through Polyvagal Theory and Tracking Your Nervous System
In the first session of this dynamic course, you will dive deep into the intricate workings of your Autonomic Nervous System. Guided by the principles of Polyvagal Theory, you will gain a profound understanding of the relationship between your nervous system and your overall well-being.
Key highlights of Session 1:
Explore the three branches of the ANS and their impact on your physical and emotional states.
Develop the skill of tracking your nervous system with awareness, allowing you to recognize subtle cues and respond effectively to stressors.
Learn valuable techniques from Somatic Experiencing to resource yourself and cultivate resilience.
By deepening your resourcing, you will create stability within yourself and enhance your ability to connect with nourishment and joy. Resourcing allows you to tap into your internal resources, such as positive memories, sensations, and images that provide a sense of safety, support, and comfort. These practices help regulate your nervous system, promoting a state of calm and resilience, even in the face of stress and adversity.
Session 2: Harnessing Inner Strength: Deepening Resourcing with S.I.B.A.M and Understanding Your Triggers
Building upon the foundation laid in Session 1, the second session of this course will delve into deeper layers of self-awareness and empowerment. You will learn to recognize your triggers and develop effective strategies for self-regulation and applying the brakes when necessary.
Key highlights of Session 2:
Expand your understanding of triggers and their impact on your nervous system's response.
Discover the significant influence of memory on triggers and explore effective techniques to navigate and transcend them.
Discover the transformative power of S.I.B.A.M (Sensations, Images, Behaviors, Affects, and Meanings) to deepen your resourcing and inner strength.
Cultivate skills necessary to regulate your nervous system, establish safety, and gain control in challenging situations.
During Session 2, you will acquire the skills to effectively shift out of triggers and restore balance. Our focus will be on somatic experiencing techniques and exercises designed to provide you with inner resources during challenging moments. These practices will enable you to cultivate a profound sense of safety, connection, and grounding, ultimately enhancing your capacity to respond to stressors with clarity and composure.
Through the application of techniques such as titration, pendulation, and tracking bodily sensations, you will not only regulate your nervous system but also expand your window of resiliency. These invaluable skills will empower you with a heightened sense of control over your physiological, emotional, and cognitive responses, further strengthening your ability to navigate life's challenges with confidence
